The idea of Za Ginipiggu was to remove the composer entirely from the music making process, giving agency to the audience. The experiment wasn’t entirely successful, and in time I would have liked to have removed myself completely from the performance process too. Others, like Bill Drummond’s conceptual choir The17 and Tara Pattenden’s noise art project Phantom Chips have achieved more interesting results. Nonetheless, some cool sounds were created in the process. Here is a brief compilation of some of the highlights.
